Boy Meets Boy

Boy Meets Boy - David Levithan

Spoiler Alert: He fucks up and still gets the boy.

BOY MEETS BOY REVIEW BY DAVID LEVITHAN REVIEW

First thing I need to get out of my system: This book is so cute...

Second thing I need to get out of my system: I wish I could find a boy easy like Paul did... Like come on, he had two boys liking him and I'm struggling to get one boy to like me, like dayum boy.

Third: This book is written so good, but this is David Levithan we're talking about here so that was expected.

This book is about a boy named Paul, he used to date this boy named Kyle who wasn't sure about this sexual orientation, so when things started getting serious between them, he decided to end the relationship with Paul and started dating a girl to try prove a point.

Paul was look at books when a gorgeous boy named Noah noticed him, they felt the connection so quick and before you know it, they're dating each other.

Kyle begins to question his ways and wants to have a relationship with Paul and kisses him. This puts Paul and Noah in a hard place. While all this is going Pauls friends are going through some shit as well, like dating idiots that don't give a shit, having parents that are praying the gay to leave which is wrong and many other things.

This book made me laugh at times and also question the parents that think it's okay to say they love their son for who he is but then pray for him because he's gay.

Overall this book is so good! Highly recommend this book.

A Strong 4/5

SPOILER ALERT!

OMGGGGG

Last Sacrifice - Richelle Mead

SPOILER ALERT: It's possible to change the dead, tasha you bitchhhhh.

I READ THIS BOOK AGES AGO.

I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED IN THE BOOK OMG.

So in the last book, everything changes. Rose breaks out of prison to not be killed basically. Dimitri goes with her. He aint dead no more. They kinda rekindle their love which I personally don't like. I liked her better with Adrian because he sounded so cool. I don't like the idea of a teacher student romantic relationship. whereas adrian was cool.

Tasha Ozera didn't like the fact that Dimitri still loved Rose and was jealous so she killed the queen and pinned it on Rose because everyone knew that Rose didn't like the queen at all. To be honest though, I wouldn't like the queen either...

Christian and Lisa are so cute and they get back together.

They prove that Rose didn't kill the queen which is badass.

Lisa proves everyone wrong and becomes the queen thanks to a secret relative she didn't know she had also known as jailbait... aka Jill!

The book made me feel a lot of emotions at once that I didn't know I had... So good!

5 million starts out of 5 :)

AMAZING

To All the Boys I've Loved Before - JennyHan

HI EVERYONE!

Sorry i havent been on lately. I have started studying so I have not be able to write reviews so I'm going to write a couple and post them throughout the week!

TO ALL THE BOYS I'VE LOVED BEFORE BY JENNY HANN

REVIEW

To all the boys I've loved before is a book I read because there was a movie coming out. But I've always wanted to read this book ages a go but where I live, there isn't many books that are exciting like this book.

I feel like I can personally relate to the main character in the book. Lara Jean is a character that's awkward, creative and is quite the girly girl. She's awkward when it comes to boys and what to do when they like her. I can relate so much hahaha.

When Peter K wanted to fake date her, she was so taken back and agreed to do it anyway to make his ex girlfriend Gen Jealous. Scandal! But then they start falling for each other!

Overall this book is corny but in a good way! It's so good! I loved how it is written!

Jenny Hann, my girl, you're an angel!

5000000000000000/5 stars :)

Reading progress update: I've read 323 out of 479 pages.

Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, Book 5) - Richelle Mead

THIS BOOK IS AMAZING.

Enough said

SPOILER ALERT!

Caraval by Stephanie Garber

Caraval - Stephanie Garber

SPOILER ALERT: No one really dies in the game that Scarlett, does my love for her count though?

I have finally finished Caraval! It took me such a long time but I wanted to give it a chance. The first 200 pages were so boring that I nearly put the book down but being the person I am, I decided that I wasn't going to be that person. The last couple of pages held the most action in my eyes though.

Like yeah Donatella Goes missing as part of the game but that wasn't a big deal to me. I thought Dante was cool though. I like the idea of him and was actually sad when he 'died'. Julian ended up being annoying and I just wanted him to leave in the end. Scarlett was complained too much throughout the book.

Overall: I have read worse books so this book wasn't horrible but just boring and could of had more action in some parts.

The author did explain things really nicely though!

Rating: 3.5/5 STARS.

A little update on my reading experience.

Caraval - Stephanie Garber

For those that follow, you'll know that I'm currently reading a book called Caraval by Stephanie Garber.

Now that I'm nearly finished this book it is safe to say that it was quite interesting but it isn't a book I would pick up to read again. I felt like this was a book I had to read because I got it through Owlcrate. If I didn't get it through Owlcrate then I probably wouldn't have read it. (Sorry to those people that might get insulted by this post lol).

Reading Update

I'm currently reading Caraval by Stephanie Garber. This book I normally wouldn't read but because I got it from OwlCrate I feel like it would be rude if I didn't.

I have to give everything a fair go so here it is.

I'm currently up to chapter 16. Page 155 out of 416 (I think).

This book is quite slow moving, I'm not gonna like... it is well written but I'm just going to warn you guys that it will take me a little while to read this book compared to my other books.

ALSO sorry for not being on here for a little while. Internet problems e t c

Have a good day!

SPOILER ALERT!

Blood Promise by Richelle Mead.

Blood Promise - Richelle Mead

Spoiler Alert: Rose is super badass.

I have just finished Blood Promise by Richelle Mead which is the fourth book in the Vampire Academy series, which by the way, was amazing.

So through this book Rose is basically going around killing vampires in the hopes of finding her true love Dimitri. She goes to his family, meets them, hangs with them for a bit and then continues on her quest to find Dimitri. Her goal is to do what he would have wanted her to do before he got turned into a vampire, kill him.

But when she finally meets him, apart from the red eyes that she could never get used to, she can still see the old Dimitri that once loved her. She can't bring it to herself to kill him until she has to leave. But she can't leave until she has done what she came to do. With still being able to see into Lissa's mind due to the bond, she see's that she's in danger because of Avery.

This book kept me on my toes. I can't wait to read the fifth book but I don't have it yet because it's still coming to me via mail. But for now I'll enjoy Caraval by Stephanie Garber.

5/5 Stars from me!

SPOILER ALERT!

Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett.

Alex, Approximately - Jenn Bennett

Spolier Alert: They were searching but hiding from each other but they just didn't know it.

Alex Approximately by Jenn Bennett is such a cute book. I really liked this book. When I saw that this author had another book out, I had to grab it and read it straight away. I really enjoyed her other book Night Owls that I knew I was going to enjoy this book as well.

"Bailey Rydell has found the boy of her dreams. 'Alex' is smart and sweet and loves the same movies as her. The only problem? They haven't met... So when Bailey moves to California to be with her dad, who happens to live in the same town as her online crush, she decides to use all her detective skills to track him down. Turns out, it's not easy finding someone when you don't even know they real name. And with the irritating but charismatic local surfer distracting her at every turn, will she ever get meet the mysterious 'Alex'?"

With goal to meet 'Alex' in the new town she has moved in, she is forced by her dad to work at the local museum where the local surfer boy works. Sparks fly. She gets her scooter taken by someone and through it all the local boy helps her, they fall for each other and through all of this they discover that they have known each other a lot longer.

This book was such an easy read, the way it was written just made me read it fast. I have read from this author before and finished that book in a day.

I LOVED this book!

A strong 5/5 stars! Highly recommend this book swell!

I'm struggling to find books I don't like! I just like every book I get...

SPOILER ALERT!

A Little something different by Sandy Hall

A Little Something Different - Sandy Hall

Spoiler Alert: The Squirrel is the best part of the book, what a cutie.

A little something different by Sandy Hall is about two people that don't know that they're meant for each other. Everyone else around them knows that they're made for each other, even the squirrel. They're both very awkward and don't know how to handle the situation.

Here's what it is about:

"Lea and Gabe are in the same creative writing class. They get the same pop culture references, order the same Chinese food, and hang out in the same places. Unfortunately, Lea is a little aloof, Gabe is shy, and it looks like they are never going to work things out.

But something is happening between them, and everyone can see it. Their creative writing teacher pushes them together. The baristas at the local Starbucks watch their relationship like a TV series. The bus driver tells his wife about them. The waitress at the diner automatically seats them together. Even the squirrel who lives on the college green believes Lea and Gabe were meant to be together".

The way this book is written is interesting, it doesn't show the story from Lea and Gabe's POV but instead from the people around them. Through the eyes of the people around them, we get to experience how they act around each other. They're awkward and don't know what to do.

I really liked this book a lot and finished it pretty fast.

If you want a super cheesy, cute book that's a fast easy read then this is the book for you.

4/5 stars! Highly recommend!

SPOILER ALERT!

Asking For It by Louise O'Neill

— feeling amazing
Asking for it - Louise T. O'Neill

Spoiler Alert: She wasn't asking for it.

A few weeks ago I started and finished the book Asking For It by Louise O'Neill. This book was extremely good and it's probably going to be one of the best books I have ever read. This author has a way with words. The whole topic of this book isn't what I'm used to as well. This book picks on the topic of rape, sexual assault and how it can destroy someone's life.

This is what the books about:

"In a small town, where everyone knows everyone, Emma O'Donovan is different. She is the special one- beautiful, popular, powerful. And she works hard to keep it that way. Until that night...

Now, she's an embarrassment. Now, she is a slut. Now, she is nothing. And those pictures- those pictures that everyone has seen- means she can never forget."

So Emma was raped and had her body taken advantage of by some local boys that she knew. This book follows how Emma handles the situation. Her friends believe that she was asking for it. They decide to completely ditch her and no longer support her. The local boys believe that they did nothing wrong. Only one person understands and supports Emma through this apart from her family. This person is Conor who lives next door to Emma.

This book highlights how rape culture, blame and victimising can ruin someones life. Emma once had it all, now has nothing. In the end she gives up fighting. Asking For It, shows how important it is get speak up about sexual assault and how there needs to be a better support system around the victims and their families.

I overall really enjoyed this book even though there were parts such as the party scene that did make me feel uncomfortable.

5/5 stars! I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants a good read that will open up their eyes on this hard topic.

Tell me what you think!

Comment below your thoughts on Stalking Jack the Ripper please if you've read it!

It's one of the five books I've recently ordered and I just want to know some opinions on it. I have read what it's about on google and it sounded very interesting!

-Sarah :)

Can't help myself

I've recently ordered 5 books online and I can't wait till they arrive...

I've ordered the last two books in the Vampire Academy series, Stalking Jack the Ripper, Vol 2 in the Death Note manga, and Every Last Word.

I treated myself because I have a book account on my banking account just for books and I had enough to get some books.

SPOILER ALERT!

Reading progress update: I've read 300 out of 503 pages.

Blood Promise - Richelle Mead

Vampire Academy Series Book 4

Blood Promise update!

So far with this book, it's been so good. It's very different from the other four. So far Rose has gone to Dimitri's home town to be with his family. She has met Sydney as well and Abe. She's now finally met Dimitri in his other form.

In one of the other books in the series Dimitri said to Rose that he would rather be killed then be awakened. He's now changed his mind and loves every bit of it but Rose knows that deep down he wants to be killed or that's what I think anyway.

I really like how this book is going. I hope it's good till the very last page.

I must ALSO add in that I haven't been reading much, but when I do read I end up reading a lot of the book.

SPOILER ALERT!

Fangirl

Fangirl by Rowell, Rainbow (2014) Paperback - Rainbow Rowell

Spoiler Alert: Fanfics are more important than living her life, boys aren't her strongest point and she misses her sister Wren too much.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell is a book about a girl named Cath, she has a twin sister named Wren. They both have just started their first year at university (college). Their dad isn't stable while he's alone. Cath struggles when it comes to being social, she would rather spend her time writing up her fanfic which she is known for online. Her dream of getting her twin sister as a roommate gets flushed down the toilet. Her roommate introduces her to Levi which she ends up having an awkward romance with.

This book was like any other YA Contemporary book. It involved a main character that was possibly alone, not enjoying their life that much and need someone they could turn to. With Cathy missing her sister Wren, the person she turned to was her love interest Levi which by the way he was described sounded amazing. Maybe one day I'll have my own Levi.

I really enjoyed this book because I felt like I could relate to this character, being awkward when it comes to the opposite gender, wanting to put all of my effort into the fictional world. This ended up being an easy read for me!
